Dekonstruer: Super Smash Bros.

I was looking for a game to do my Dekonstruer on. With the high anticipation of the new Super Smash Bros. 4 Wii U, I thought a Smash Bros. game would be perfect to write about. Its tough to choose a favourite from the original, Melee, or Brawl, but since it's the most recent and fresh in my head I decided to do my Dekonstruer on Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Objectives
The main goal in this game is to use items, smashes, specials, and final smashes to knock your opponent out of the ring. That is the main objective in competitive play. This game offers many varieties of modes that have other objectives like collect enemy coins, or a mini game to collect trophies. The overall goal for the main game modes (fighting against opponents) is to knock them off the stage as many times as you can without falling off yourself. Whether it's a time battle or a stock battle, that goal still remains, don't get  knocked out (of the ring).

Rules/Mechanics
Ever since the first Smash Bros. game, Hal (studio that created the series) revolutionized fighting game mechanics. Instead of having a health bar, each player has a percentage meter. The more times they are hit, the meter goes up. The higher it gets means they have more knock back when hit, propelling them further away from the ring, increasing their chances of being ringed out. The other unique thing about the ring out is the players can be hit out not only from the left and right side of the stage, but also the top and bottom. Leaning towards the rules side now, these are completely customizable. Players can choose to make the game timed so whoever causes the most K.O.'s on their opponents in the allotted time wins, or they could choose a stock battle, where whoever is the last to survive wins. The characters are controlled by the control stick and use directionally influenced controls like  -> and the A button to do a smash attack. Control is done with the left stick and special moves are used with the B button and a directional influence as well.

Game State
This game records all of the players actions by recording their stats in battle like most times a character has been played, what characters have been unlocked, and much more. The states act like any other fighting game though. During the match it saves amount of lives left and health but once the match is over all those stats reset.

Resources
The resources are completely customizable as you can have stock life instead of just time, or you could pick to have coins instead of lives all together. Along with the famous cast, Smash Bros. comes equipped with an array of famous weaponry. You can choose to play with items like a beam sword, Super Star (invincibility), Pokeballs, and much more. You can also choose to not play with any of these items/resources at all.
